Our Mission: to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the glory of God.
Matthew 28: 18-20 says, “And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.””
Our goal as a church is to follow this command, and one way we strive for this is by partnering with various groups in our community to act as the hands and feet of Christ!

Beliefs
We believe in the Old and New Testaments of the Holy Bible, and that they are the inspired Word of God, inerrant in the original writings, and the all-sufficient authority in matters of faith, doctrine, and Christian living.
We believe in One God that eternally exists in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:2 and John 1:1)
We believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ (Isaiah 7:14), and that He is fully God and fully man (John 14:9 and 1 Timothy 2:5). We believe that Jesus died on the cross for our sins (1 Peter 3:18) and that He rose bodily from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:4), ascended into Heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father (Luke 22:69), and is now our High Priest and Advocate (Hebrews 4:14-16).
We believe that man was created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27), but he rebelled against God and fell into sin and is therefore lost (Genesis 2:17).
We believe that eternal salvation is the free gift of God, entirely apart from a person’s good works, and is possessed by any and all who place their faith in and receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior (John 3:16).
We believe that church is supposed to be an outward moving organization that makes disciples for Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18b-20).

A Word from the Pastor
Invitation Church was started after a long process of seeking God on how to answer the call that He had placed on my life. I had served as a youth pastor and an associate pastor of other churches, but it was on a mission trip to Seattle where God specifically called me to plant a church in Monroe, NC.
As I reflect upon God’s call to being this work, it’s interesting that I was in Seattle to help a new church plant when He called me to this work. Before the trip, I had no idea what church planting was all about.
On a separate trip to Honduras, it became clear that it was time to begin this work in September of 2014. Our first service was then held on September 7, 2014, where 7 people attended. It has been a wonderful adventure since that day, and we continue to seek where God is working so that we can join Him in the work that He is doing in our community.
I strongly believe that the Church of Jesus Christ is supposed to be an outward moving body that seeks out where God is working and comes alongside of Him in His work. The primary work of the church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ. A disciple of Jesus Christ is someone who produces other disciples of Jesus Christ.
The past eight years has been about building the foundation of our church, where we’ve learned the true meaning of what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ.
Over the years I have watched as God has used our church to help restore those who have been hurt in some way. I have seen Him use us to encourage others on a regular basis.
One thing that will stand out if you decide to come is we are just simple people who are doing our best to follow the scriptures and live a life that is pleasing to God.
We do not try to entertain or draw attention to our own abilities. Are we a perfect church? Absolutely not however we do work hard to bring glory to God with all that we say and do.

If you do not have a church home or have been hurt by a church experience, please just come be our guest one Sunday and decide for yourself if this is a place that you can worship and grow with us!
